My goal as a landscape photographer is to bring joy to and make people more aware of our natural world by applying careful composition and creative use of light. I hope that my work evokes an emotional response in the viewer and leaves them with a deeper appreciation of this wilderness we call Earth.
Camera is a tool that provides a great starting point toward communicating my artistic vision, though it alone cannot make a great artist. My process includes meticulous attention to detail while choosing a compelling composition, lighting, shutter speed, depth of field and ISO. I also work in today’s digital darkroom to fine tune, and optimize colors, contrast, noise, tonalities and luminosity in order to better present to you my artistic vision and feelings at the time of capture. This is a tremendously satisfying and exciting process, and above all it transports me away from the stressful and demanding Silicon Valley life and into a world where I find fun, adventure, and peace all at the same time.
